As someone who grew up in a small Texas town with an immigrant mother, I’ve done my fair share of translating for those who may have trouble understanding my mom’s accent.
A new startup called Tomato.ai could help my mother and countless others who don’t have English as a first language communicate more easily. The one-year-old startup uses AI to soften the accents of contact center employees working in foreign countries, while still keeping the original tones and timbres of their voices.
